To keep your work safe, Lexprompt backs-up all your work and makes sure that none of the files is deleted unintentionally.
Moreover, when you open a file, Lexprompt makes a copy of the file in the as-opened state. If you make changes and unintentionally save the file (e.g., making changes to a template, without saving it as a new file), you can still access the original file in its original state.
Also, you can choose how long to keep the back-up file. And you can compare any two saved versions, to get a redline version of the changes.
